Total Duration: 12 weeks

Frequency: 1 class per week

Class Duration: There is 1 x 3-hour Self-Confidence Masterclass and the rest of the classes are 2-hours long. Assignments will be another 1-2 hours per week. (This varies per class and per person)

I created the TrueYou Self-Discovery Course as a way for women to take the time to get to know themselves completely and gain the motivation and the confidence they need to reach important goals and make life-enhancing changes. If you don’t have a clear idea of who you are and hold belief in your abilities, how can you even begin to set goals?

Course Duration and Structure

The TrueYou course takes place over a period of 11 weeks and is structured as follows:
• 8 x live 2-hour online classes
• 1 x live 3-hour Self-Confidence Masterclass for women
• An online professional Strengths Assessment and one-on-one de-brief and strengths development session with me

Self-Confidence Masterclass

Ever wonder what your life might have looked like today, if you had 10% more confident over the last couple of years? Would you have treated yourself, others, life’s challenges or opportunities differently? Might you have stopped or started certain activities in your life?

How about this thought. Does this ring true to you? “I can’t achieve my goals, perform at my peak, do the things I want to do, or behave like the person I want to be, until I feel more confident?” You are not alone!

Lack of self-confidence is one of the main culprits holding women back from living the lives they truly want. Therefore, it is one of the fundamental themes addressed in the TrueYou course.

Besides the classes detailed below, included in your TrueYou course package is also the 3-hour Self-Confidence Masterclass for Women, which I offer monthly. You are welcome to register for and join the most suitable date during the duration of your course.

The Self-Confidence Masterclass will help you to

• Understand the difference between self-confidence and self-esteem and why it’s important to distinguish between the two
• Differentiate between the myths and proven facts surrounding self-confidence, and how to use this info to improve the outcomes in your life
• Get clarity about all the factors which impacts women’s self-confidence, in order to increase your self-awareness about your own confidence
• Understand what self-confidence is, how to redefine it and how to build it

Class 1: Mindfulness

Another crucial skill is learning how to work with our human minds. We are conditioned in our daily lives to run on autopilot and operate using these well established thinking habits, mostly to our own detriment. Cultivating mindfulness, can help us move towards a life of greater clarity, intention, and meaning. In this part of the course, you’ll learn to:

• Understand how to use mindfulness as a mental skill-set
• Debunk common myths regarding mindfulness
• Pay attention to ourselves, others and our lives in a different way
• Be more present in the moment
• Use simple and effective mindfulness tools throughout the duration of the course

Class 2: Being Human

Our mind directs all our behaviors and therefore the outcomes in our lives. Yet, how many of us take the time to understand how our brain can work for and against us, in living the lives we want? During this class you will learn to:

• Understand the basics of how the human brain works and how to work with it
• Become more self-aware by seeing how your genetics and conditioning play a role in your life
• Work with your happiness set-point

Class 3: The Empowerment Dynamic

Many of us spend our lives feeling powerless to circumstances and fall into victimhood. We also try and control many things beyond our domain of power, and this can lead to burn-out, anxiety and depression. Learning about the Empowerment Dynamic Tool, will help you to:

• Distinguish between what is in and out of your control
• Take full responsibility for your life
• Remain outcome focused and avoid getting trapped in drama in your life and relationships

Class 4: Values

Your values are your guiding compass in life. If you look at your life today, it reflects the choices you have made based on your value system. By defining your values, you can:

• Improve your decision-making
• Redefine what success means to you
• Gain clarity on areas that leave you in limbo
• Live in alignment with who you truly are for greater meaning and fulfillment

Class 5: Needs, Self-Care and Well-being

Getting your needs met is not optional, but essential. Just like a bucket full of holes, when our needs aren’t met, our vitality begins to drain. Many women let self-care slide when they’re busy or overwhelmed. Making your well-being a priority doesn’t have to be time-consuming or complicated. Here’s what better self-care and needs-care can do for you:

• Increase your energy and vitality
• Incorporate simple, yet life-changing habits to add joy to your life
• Find new interests, hobbies, and ways of caring for yourself
• Explore and define your physical, mental, and spiritual needs
• Learn to meet your needs yourself, rather than relying on others or external circumstances
• Differentiate needs and wants, and avoid the pattern of chasing wants

Class 6: Ignite Your Strengths

As Albert Einstein said, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.” This part of the TrueYou course centers around identifying and mastering your greatest strengths in order to:

• Increase your productivity
• Align your vocation with your unique strengths and talents
• Love the work you do
• Build your confidence personally and professionally

Professional Strengths Assessment and One-on-one Strengths Debrief Session with me
After starting the course, I will send out instructions and a link to complete your professional Strengths Profile Assessment. Following Class 6 on strengths, you we will then take a week during which you will all have a one-on-one strength debrief session with me.

Class 7: The Choice-Point

The Choice-Point is a proven mindfulness tool from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and is very practical and easy to implement in your daily life. It will support you to:

• Remain present to what matters most to you
• Consistently act in alignment with your values
• Stop acting in self-defeating ways and start behaving in life-enhancing ways

Class 8: Authentic Communication

Have you ever genuinely paid attention to your verbal and non-verbal communication and how it is impacting your relationships and the course of your life? Did you know that more than 50% of the impact you make on another person, when talking to them, is attributed to your non-verbal communication and not to the actual words you’re saying? We are communicating even when we aren’t saying a thing! You will learn to:

• Communicate through who you are being, verbally and non-verbally
• Prepare for crucial conversations
• Negotiate at your best
• Use other helpful communication tools

Class 9: Self-Congruent Goal-Setting Workshop

The final step of the course—and the beginning of your journey towards getting the life you really want—is setting goals that are aligned with your core values, needs, and strengths. In this part of the course, you’ll:

• Work with me to set goals that take your core values, needs, and strengths into account
• Plan actionable steps to achieve short-, medium-, and long-term goals
• Gain greater clarity, direction, and self-confidence to reach important goals and make positive changes in your life

Way Forward

Once we have defined your self-congruent goals, we will then begin coaching to put your goals to action for a life-changing transformation. This course is intended to be the start of a deeper, more effective personalized coaching experience. Therefore, you can choose to combine the course with any of my personalized coaching packages, during or after the course.

All of the sessions are offered virtually, either one-on-one or in very small groups, so that they are accessible to all. That way, you can skip the commute and arranging for childcare and attend at a convenient time for you in the comfort of your own home. After all, scheduling time for yourself to work towards personal growth should feel refreshing, not stressful.
